CHARLOTTE the Candelure LEVEL: 100 GENDER: Female ABILITY: Flash Fire MOVES: Ember, Astonish, Minimize, Smog, Fire Spin, Confuse Ray, Night Shade, Will-O-Wisp, Flame Burst, Imprison, Hex, Memento, Inferno, Curse, Shadow Ball, Pain Split, Overheat, Calm Mind, Flamethrower, Energy Ball DESCRIPTION: Sassy nature. Mischievous. Manaka's primary starter. Playful and sly, Charlotte likes to be the object of praise and attention—even when that means pulling tricks to get it. Unsurprisingly, she gets jealous easily. It's a simple matter to flatter your way back into her good graces, however. With that being said, since reaching her final evolution, Charlotte has begun to feel some responsibility toward the rest of Manaka's Pokémon. As the team's self-proclaimed big sister, all are subject to her teasing—as well as her protection. Has a distinctive, and very cute, evil laugh. ("OO-HOO-HOO-HOO") Evolved October 31, 2016. Evolved again January 1, 2017. Reached lvl 100 February 13, 2017.

MOCHI the Swoobat LEVEL: 100 GENDER: Male ABILITY: Unaware MOVES: Confusion, Odor Slueth, Gust, Heart Stamp, Imprison, Air Cutter, Attract, Amnesia, Calm Mind, Air Slash, Future Sight, Psychic, Endeavor, U-Turn, Giga Drain DESCRIPTION: Naive nature. Somewhat of a clown. Manaka's secondary starter. As Mochi was the weaker of her two original Pokémon, Manaka tends to baby him. While all that spoiling has made him sensitive, since evolving, he has made a greater effort to pull his own weight. Mochi generally thinks the best of other people and their intentions. Unfortunately, this also means that he's the most frequent object of pranks and trickery from the rest of Manaka's Pokémon. Even so, he hasn't lost his trusting nature. Evolved November 12, 2016. Reached lvl 100 June 1, 2017.

CRULLER the Klefki LEVEL: 82 GENDER: Male ABILITY: Prankster MOVES: Fairy Lock, Tackle, Fairy Wind, Astonish, Metal Sound, Spikes, Draining Kiss, Crafty Shield, Foul Play, Torment, Mirror Shot, Imprison, Recycle, Play Rough, Magic Room, Heal Block, Dazzling Gleam DESCRIPTION: Adamant nature. Very finicky. An unusually skittish and prickly Klefki, Cruller is the first Pokémon Manaka caught herself. He hates being touched, and anyone who so much as reaches in his direction will be greeted by a lot of hissing and jangling keys. Despite his particularity about personal space, he has taken to hiding under Manaka's skirt and legs. Unfortunately, this hasn't made him any less fussy about other people, and when anyone comes too close to Manaka for his liking, he treats it as a threat to himself. Manaka boxed him at the first opportunity.

ECLAIR the Rotom LEVEL: 100 GENDER: N/A ABILITY: Levitate MOVES: Discharge, Charge, Trick, Astonish, Thunder Wave, Thunder Shock, Confuse Ray, Uproar, Double Team, Shock Wave, Ominous Wind, Substitute, Electro Ball, Hex DESCRIPTION: Naughty nature. Thoroughly cunning. Manaka's relationship with Eclair got off to a rocky start. The little ghost led her on a week-long game of hide and seek, and Manaka, completely unaccustomed to failure, was at one point reduced to tears. Once Manaka finally caught it, though, all that was water under the bridge. Because Manaka bested it fair and square, Eclair respects her as its trainer and listens to her unconditionally. Conversely, Manaka appreciates Eclair's cleverness and utility too much to hold a grudge. That being said, Eclair remains one of Manaka's most independent Pokémon. When Manaka leaves it to its own devices, it tends to wander, causing mischief wherever it goes. Its pranks are usually good-natured, but... Let's just say the vending machines around Rocket HQ should be approached with caution. Reached lvl 100 May 21, 2017.

TAFFY the Cleffa LEVEL: 1 GENDER: Female ABILITY: Cute Charm MOVES: Pound, Charm, Sing, Sweet Kiss, Copycat, Rest, Mimic, Present, Hidden Power DESCRIPTION: Impish nature. Hates to lose. Received as an egg from Ryner Lute, Taffy is a spoiled princess who wants everything handed to her. She has perfected the art of goo-goo eyes, and she doesn't have any qualms about using them to get what she wants. Fortunately(?), the rest of Manaka's team is equally cunning. Mochi and Licorice are the only ones who fall for her antics regularly. Will probably never evolve, as she thinks it'll hurt her position as a lap Pokémon.

PARFAIT the Spritzee LEVEL: 66 GENDER: Female ABILITY: Healer MOVES: Sweet Scent, Fairy Wind, Sweet Kiss, Odor Sleuth, Echoed Voice, Calm Mind, Draining Kiss, Aromatherapy, Attract, Moonblast, Charm, Flail, Misty Terrain, Skill Swap, Psychic, Disarming Voice, Dazzling Gleam DESCRIPTION: Sassy nature. Strongly defiant. Following a conversation with Draculaura, Manaka decided to catch a Pokémon that reminds her of her little sister. The perfect opportunity presented itself just a day later, when she visited the Alph Ruins—not only does Spritzee resemble a bird, but it's the same shade of pink as Ayaka's favorite jacket! However, that's where the similarities between Ayaka and Parfait end. By far the least obedient of Manaka's Pokémon, Parfait has a nasty attitude problem. She doesn't consider herself a team player, and she refuses to meet others even halfway, doing whatever strikes her fancy without regard for any toes she might step on along the way. The only reason she tolerates her newfound captivity at all is Manaka's doting; after all, who doesn't want to hear about how cute they are?

MILLEFEUILLE the Munna LEVEL: 92 GENDER: Female ABILITY: Synchronize MOVES: Psywave, Defense Curl, Lucky Chant, Yawn, Psybeam, Imprison, Moonlight, Hypnosis, Zen Headbutt, Synchronoise, Nightmare, Future Sight, Calm Mind, Psychic, Dream Eater, Telekinesis, Stored Power, Dazzling Gleam DESCRIPTION: Relaxed nature. Somewhat vain. Millefeuille ambushed Manaka while she was exploring the Alph Ruins, intending to hypnotize her and feed on her dreams. Alas, her plan was interrupted before it could even get started, thanks to a midair collision with Mochi. Despite her inglorious capture, though, Millie has become quite comfortable on Manaka's team. Actually, very little seems to bother her at all. Even in crisis situations, she remains cool as a cucumber—albeit a cucumber that doesn't have the slightest inclination to help. Probably because she finds other people's distress hilarious, but, you know. Isn't she just the cutest shade of pink?

ANKO the Cherrim LEVEL: 68 GENDER: Female ABILITY: Flower Gift MOVES: Morning Sun, Tackle, Growth, Leech Seed, Helping Hand, Magical Leaf, Sunny Day, Petal Dance, Worry Seed, Take Down, Solar Beam, Lucky Chant, Petal Blizzard, Dazzling Gleam DESCRIPTION: Quirky nature. Highly curious. Anko is usually off in her own little world. That can be slightly troublesome, seeing as she also likes to explore. While she somehow manages to come out of her adventures intact, it's rarely without leaving a mess behind her. Case in point: Manaka's first encounter with Anko involved Anko climbing into her bag while she wasn't looking. When Manaka reached inside to find lunch and pulled out a Pokémon instead, she was already too far from the National Park to return her. After that, keeping her just seemed natural. Evolved December 10, 2016.

CHIFFON the Sylveon LEVEL: 92 GENDER: Female ABILITY: Pixilate MOVES: Helping Hand, Growl, Tackle, Tail Whip, Sand Attack, Baby-Doll Eyes, Disarming Voice, Fairy Wind, Quick Attack, Swift, Draining Kiss, Skill Swap, Misty Terrain, Light Screen, Moonblast, Last Resort, Psych Up, Attract, Dazzling Gleam, Hyper Voice, Return DESCRIPTION: Bold nature. Strong willed. During the November 2016 Fourth Wall event, Manaka attracted throngs of wild Pokémon to her side like a Disney Princess from hell. The only one to stick around afterward, however, was Chiffon—a fact that Manaka couldn't be happier with. In Manaka's eyes, Chiffon is as sweet as a chocolate pie, and she just adores her. Which is exactly what Chiffon wants. The truth is, the little Eevee took one look at Manaka's assortment of Pokémon and decided she wanted to be the queen of that castle. And, while she's nothing but sweet where Manaka can see her, a queen is exactly what she acts like: haughty, entitled, and perfectly willing to take whatever she wants, whenever she wants it. Needless to say, she isn't popular with the rest of Manaka's team. The only exception seems to be Millefeuille; she finds Chiffon's antics endlessly amusing, and something of an alliance has developed between the two of them, with Millefeuille only encouraging Chiffon to be crueler. Has an admirer that she's quite fond of. Evolved February 6, 2017.

CHERRIES JUBILEE the Rapidash LEVEL: 78 GENDER: Female ABILITY: Flash Fire MOVES: Growl, Tackle, Morning Sun, Tail Whip, Ember, Flame Wheel, Stomp, Flame Charge, Fire Spin, Take Down, Inferno, Agility, Fury Attack, Fire Blast, Bounce, Flare Blitz, Strength DESCRIPTION: Mild nature. Likes to run. One of the odder Pokémon in Manaka's roster, by virtue of not being very odd at all. A gift from Handsome Jack, Jubilee is well-behaved, patient, and low maintenance. She doesn't care much about the antics of Manaka's other Pokémon one way or the other. Her most impressive skill is perhaps her ability to stonewall all attempts to drag her into them, simply by refuse to react. Evolved January 21, 2017.

LICORICE the Sneasel LEVEL: 94 GENDER: Male ABILITY: Keen Eye MOVES: Scratch, Leer, Taunt, Quick Attack, Feint Attack, Icy Wind, Fury Swipes, Agility, Metal Claw, Hone Claws, Beat Up, Screech, Slash, Snatch, Punishment, Ice Shard, Poison Jab, Rock Smash DESCRIPTION: Naughty nature. Impetuous and silly. Licorice is the baddest dude you'll ever meet... Or so he thinks, anyway. The truth is, while he pretends to be a cutthroat killer, he flusters whenever one of his would-be victims pushes back even a little bit. As a result, most of his attempted shakedowns end with him on the ropes—something that even the smallest of Manaka's Pokémon have realized. He might bill himself as top dog, but in reality, he's at the bottom of the food chain. But there is one thing Licorice is as good at as he claims to be: petty theft. His most prized possession is a pair of sunglasses he nicked from a tourist on the Sevii Islands, which he wears constantly. He also likes to steal pretty trinkets and present them to lady Pokémon as gifts, but so far, none of Manaka's Pokémon have responded to his advances...

TIRA & MISU the Rattata LEVEL: 36 | 34 GENDER: Female | Male ABILITY: Gluttony | Hustle MOVES: Tackle, Tail Whip, Quick Attack, Focus Energy, Bite, Pursuit, Hyper Fang, Assurance, Crunch, Sucker Punch, Super Fang, Double-Edge, Endeavor DESCRIPTION: Impish nature. Highly curious. | Impish nature. Somewhat of a clown. A pair of twins that wound up among Manaka's party quite by accident, after they hitched a ride to Johto in one of her bags. While Manaka originally wanted to get rid of them, they've proven themselves valuable as thieves; since they earn their keep, she has grudgingly allowed them to stay. While they're both crafty, Tira is the ringleader of the two, owing to her more adventurous spirit. They also sometimes act as Licorice's flunkies. However, if a plan starts to go south, they extract themselves from the situation before he realizes, leaving Licorice as the one holding the bag.

SNICKERDOODLE the Honchkrow LEVEL: 100 GENDER: Female ABILITY: Super Luck MOVES: Fly, Payback, Peck, Pursuit, Haze, Wing Attack, Night Shade, Assurance, Taunt, Feint Attack, Mean Look, Foul Play, Sucker Punch, Torment, Nasty Plot, Night Slash, Quash, Dark Pulse DESCRIPTION: Bold nature. Proud of its power. Manaka received Snickerdoodle as a gift from Walter. She can be rather brash, and since becoming part of Manaka's team, she has grown into one of its most enthusiastic battlers. Though she has a tomboyish personality, she shares her family's love of shiny objects. After one particular incident involving her stealing the ring from an unfortunate passerby's finger, Manaka bought her a charm bracelet, hoping to curtail her collecting habit. She wears it proudly. Among Manaka's Pokémon, Snicker has become close to Mochi. She respects his dedication to protecting his trainer, despite having no natural inclination toward battling himself, and he's happy to help her train. Evolved February 21, 2017. Reached lvl 100 July 2, 2017.

COCOA the Hydreigon LEVEL: 100 GENDER: Male ABILITY: Hustle MOVES: Tackle, Dragon Rage, Focus Energy, Bite, Headbutt, Dragon Breath, Roar, Crunch, Slam, Dragon Pulse, Work Up, Dragon Rush, Body Slam, Double Hit, Scary Face, Hyper Voice, Tri Attack, Outrage, Dark Pulse, Dragon Tail, Strength, Rock Smash DESCRIPTION: Docile nature. Likes to relax. Stolen from a young trainer who enjoyed bragging a little too much, Cocoa bears the dubious distinction of being the first Pokémon Manaka captured for its prowess in battle, rather than its appearance. Unfortunately for her, he doesn't possess an ounce of the ferocity she had expected. While she originally intended to submit Cocoa to Team Rocket for pay, after discovering both his low level and non-aggressive nature, Manaka wound up keeping him for herself instead. She intends to train him into the fierce battler he was supposed to be, but even after evolving, none of her lessons have stuck. Despite the way he came into Manaka's possession, Cocoa bears her no ill will, having been too young to have imprinted on his previous trainer at the time of his theft. Evolved March 24, 2017. Evolved again April 29, 2017. Reached lvl 100 July 12, 2017.

OHAGI the Steenee LEVEL: 36 GENDER: Female ABILITY: Leaf Guard MOVES: Splash, Play Nice, Rapid Spin, Razor Leaf, Sweet Scent, Double Slap, Magical Leaf, Teeter Dance, Stomp, Aromatic Mist, Dazzling Gleam DESCRIPTION: Jolly nature. Likes to fight. One of Manaka's friendlier Pokémon, Ohagi's happy-go-lucky attitude belies her competitive nature. She loves to battle and cares nothing for her own limitations; without regard for how much larger or more skilled they may be, she'll challenge any Pokémon she meets, along with some people and most inanimate objects. Needless to say, she has lost her fair share of fights. This fact doesn't discourage her, however, and she keeps trying. Ohagi quickly became friends with Anko, and the two are rarely seen apart from one another. Ohagi is a stalwart companion on Anko's adventures, and Anko is a steadfast caretaker to Ohagi after her ill-fated fights. Evolved March 15, 2017.

WHOOPIE the Mismagius LEVEL: 100 GENDER: Male ABILITY: Levitate MOVES: Growl, Psywave, Spite, Astonish, Confuse Ray, Mean Look, Hex, Psybeam, Pain Split, Payback, Shadow Ball, Perish Song, Grudge, Power Gem, Mystical Fire, Phantom Force, Magical Leaf, Lucky Chant, Toxic, Dazzling Gleam DESCRIPTION: Hasty nature. Somewhat vain. Another gift from Walter. Short-tempered and sharp-tongued, Whoopie is a bit of a diva—meaning that, for better or for worse, he fits in well among Manaka's collection of miscreants. While Whoopie isn't one to let himself be overshadowed, he doesn't share the jealous streak that runs through much of Manaka's team. Nonetheless, he's too headstrong to ignore a direct challenge, and it's rare for him to pass up an opportunity to flaunt what he's got. Whoopie and Charlotte can often be found gossiping together, though their barbs aren't always reserved for other Pokémon. Evolved April 2, 2017. Reached lvl 100 July 8, 2017.

CANNOLI the Flareon LEVEL: 84 GENDER: Male ABILITY: Flash Fire MOVES: Helping Hand, Tackle, Tail Whip, Ember, Sand Attack, Baby-Doll Eyes, Quick Attack, Bite, Fire Fang, Fire Spin, Scary Face, Smog, Lava Plume, Last Resort, Flare Blitz, Strength, Rock Smash DESCRIPTION: Rash nature. Hates to lose. Chiffon's child... Technically. Thanks to a breeding mishap, Manaka received two clutches of eggs while attempting to breed Jubilee and Jack's Ponyta, Aethon: one from the intended pair, and one from Chiffon and Aethon. Despite the obvious difference in species, Cannoli seems convinced that Jubilee with Aethon are his birth parents—which is probably for the best, seeing as Chiffon has no interest in acknowledging or taking responsibility for her offspring. Shortly after he hatched, Manaka bought him a fire stone, to help him fit in better alongside his family. With that said, his personality takes after his true mother's more than either of the Pokémon he considers his parents. Though he lacks Chiffon's underhandedness and cunning, Cannoli is headstrong, aggressive, and constantly acts as though he has something to prove. Evolved March 1, 2017.

DANGO the Morelull LEVEL: 28 GENDER: Male ABILITY: Effect Spore MOVES: Absorb, Astonish, Flash, Moonlight, Mega Drain, Sleep Powder, Ingrain, Confuse Ray, Dazzling Gleam DESCRIPTION: Timid nature. Thoroughly cunning. Caught during a trip to see Walter in Ecruteak, Dango is quite cowardly. Even now that he can spend his time in the safety of the indoors, he prefers to hide in darkness, and can usually be found lurking in hard-to-reach places under the furniture. This is, at least in part, thanks to his complete refusal to trust any person or Pokémon besides Manaka; whenever anyone else finds him exposed, he waddles back to his hiding place as fast as his little stem will carry him. However, underneath that skittish exterior lies a mind that is very clever and very cruel. The truth is, Dango enjoys tormenting others—but only when he thinks he do so without consequence. He loves picking on those weaker than him, and those gullible enough to believe his actions were mere accidents caused by clumsiness. Appropriately, he's a vicious battler when he has the advantage, but shrinks away from conflict when he doesn't.

GATEAU the Abra LEVEL: 30 GENDER: Male ABILITY: Inner Focus MOVES: Teleport, Psyshock, Dazzling Gleam, Shadow Ball DESCRIPTION: Serious nature. Alert to sounds. Following the disastrous prom of 2017, Manaka received Gateau as a gift of sorts. Given to her by Team Rocket, Gateau is loyal to the people in charge and always looking out for their best interests. In the case of his current assignment, that means whipping Manaka's unruly team into a cohesive unit. This is, of course, an impossible dream, and for the most part his attempts have been met with nothing but frustration. Gateau doesn't give up so easily, though. If asked about the progress he's made, he'll grimly declare that fights are down by 10% since he was added to Manaka's roster.

SHORTCAKE the Espurr LEVEL: 10 GENDER: Female ABILITY: Keen Eye MOVES: Scratch, Leer, Covet, Confusion DESCRIPTION: Quiet nature. Often lost in thought. Hatched from a mysterious egg Manaka received after Prom 2017, Shortcake is quite the eccentric ball of fluff. Apparently mute, she hasn't spoken a word to anyone since hatching—verbally or psychically. Instead, she prefers to keep to herself, rarely acknowledging anything that happens outside her own head. She also fancies herself quite the artist, making a sketchpad and pencil her primary mode of communication. Unfortunately, her technical skill is best described as "childish," and some of her drawings are easier to interpret than others. Many of them take on a surprisingly morbid bent, too... Where could she have gotten those ideas from?

KONPEITO the Minior LEVEL: 36 GENDER: N/A ABILITY: Shields Down MOVES: Tackle, Defense Curl, Rollout, Confuse Ray, Swift, Ancient Power, Self-Destruct, Stealth Rock, Take Down, Autotomize, Cosmic Power, Dazzling Gleam DESCRIPTION: Lax nature. Takes plenty of siestas. During the May 2017 Fourth Wall weekend, Manaka once again attracted wild Pokémon to her side—including a number of shell-less Minior, who found the area around her body quite hospitable. Only one of them remained after the event's end, however: a pink Minior that Manaka later named Konpeito. It's difficult to say why Konpeito chose to stay, as it doesn't seem to have any particularly strong opinions or preferences. It'll happily make the best of any circumstance presented to it, so long as there's nothing egregious to complain about. In fact, that "go with the flow" attitude may be the reason itself; if it has no objections to Manaka's presence, why leave? The fact that it's something of a lazy mooch probably factored into the decision, too. Considering that Manaka rarely asks it to be more than a cute accessory, it didn't choose its trainer poorly...

MARJOLAINE the Roselia LEVEL: 30 GENDER: Female ABILITY: Poison Point MOVES: Absorb, Growth, Poison Sting, Stun Spore, Mega Drain, Leech Seed, Magical Leaf, Grass Whistle, Giga Drain, Toxic Spikes, Sludge Bomb, Venoshock DESCRIPTION: Brave nature. Somewhat vain. A feisty Pokémon that challenged Manaka at the edge of Ilex Forest. Upstanding and forthright, Marjolaine sees herself as a chivalrous knight, or maybe a good-hearted rogue. As she had been one of the strongest Pokémon in her native woods, she believes she has a duty to protect the weak and stand up to the strong. Unfortunately, this puts her at odds with most of Manaka's other Pokémon, which are unruly at best and deliberately cruel at worst. For the most part, she sticks to the other grass-types on Manaka's team—with the exception Dango, whose true nature she recognized instantly. Weak in the face of flattery.

SIMON the Abra LEVEL: 30 GENDER: Male ABILITY: Inner Focus MOVES: Teleport DESCRIPTION: Rash nature. Hates to lose. Originally owned by Anthy Himemiya. As a fellow member of Team Rocket, Manaka was the one to receive the microchipped Abra after Anthy's departure from Johto. Simon is, indeed, a little shit. Of course, this means that he fits in just fine with Manaka's team, given that the majority of her Pokémon can be classified as the same. The one place where he doesn't mesh, ironically enough, is with Gateau; while Gateau tries to be a force of order for Manaka's unruly collection of Pokémon, Simon is just as bad as any of those Manaka raised herself. As a result, the two of them squabble almost constantly.
